We are lucky that two nearby state parks here in Pennsylvania host semi-annual homeschool days. ("Nearby" meaning driving well over an hour to get there...) This one, at Bald Eagle State Park, is put on by recreation management students at Penn State University as part of a course project. They always do a fantastic job--too bad it was on a cold, cold day. We bundled up and went anyway.
Preston loved the parachute until he ran under it, right into Sariah and bonked his head.

He'd never been fishing before, but within 2 minutes of the instructor casting his line for him, he got a fish.
They learned about composting and loved checking out the worms.
