My Sariah

My baby girl had a big summer this summer.   She turned 8 years old and was baptized into our church.  Such a big step for such a little girl!  I sure love her!

Sariah's birthday was two days after we moved in.  Needless to say, it wasn't the best-planned birthday she's ever had.  The cake was purchased at the grocery store an hour before the party, with a message in icing added hastily at the last minute.  When it came time to blow out the candles, we discovered we didn't have anything to light them with--no matches, no lighters, no nothing.  We desperately tried to light them using the stove burners, but it was a no-go.  So she blew out the fake candles someone was able to download on their cell phone.  (Yes, there's an app for that!)

A month later, Grandma came to visit and we held Sariah's baptism.  Big brother Dallin gave an excellent talk, as did Daddy.  Preston wasn't too keen on sitting still OR on getting pictures taken.

My pretty girl after the service, with her hair still damp.

And later that night on her way out to dinner.  I love her sense of style!  (Her "purse" is the new scripture case Grandma got her.)

Looking cute in pigtails (her current obsession).

Lounging in her bedroom.
