We added the poinsettas after reading "The Legend of the Poinsetta". We made pine cone Christmas trees after hearing "How the fir tree because the Christmas tree". We also planted some bulbs. We added Joseph to the path.
The pine cone trees are so easy! We spooned soil from the garden into the crevices in the pine cones, then sprinkled grass seed over the dirt. Now we just need to find our spray bottle so we can mist water on them every day and they will germinate, providing green "needles" on our "trees".
