Well, it made sense to him

I was in the kitchen doing chores when I heard this from upstairs...

Dallin: Mom, can we get the dog sealed to our family?

Me: Um, no, you don't seal dogs.

Dallin: Why not???

Me: Because sealing is for people, not dogs.

Dallin: Come on!!! (pause) I officially make this dog part of our family FOREVER!

Kiddo J has asked that before too! It makes perfect sense, in the mind of a child through adoption who loves his dog like a family member. :) I've heard that about pets being with us in heaven, too, and it brings me great comfort!
