We're done!!!!!

OK, prepare to faint from shock, everybody. A few minutes ago I had the privilege of calling our caseworker and informing her that the adoption paperwork that has taken us the past 16 months (yes, you read that right) to complete, is finally, officially DONE!!! Our file goes to committee tomorrow and, barring some freak unforeseen event, we'll be approved then.

Maybe in the next day or two I'll write a longer post talking about what a journey this has been. But for now, I just want to enjoy my newfound freedom!!! To not have this hanging over my head even one second longer is the most amazing feeling I've had in a very long time!

Yippee! What a huge defeat that is to have that mountains climbed! Now comes the waiting game...I hope it isn't too long.

Congratulations, you two! (Actually, you four!) May your wait be short an uneventful.

I do want a short wait, but I don't want a baby before August since I'm teaching at the BYU organ workshop. Anytime after that is fair game!

Awesome! I hope you did something to celebrate being "paper pregnant". Enjoy your freedom!

We had ice cream sundaes last night. I told the kids that I got to pick the treat because I did all the work. (Well, most of it anyway.) It's weird, but I feel more like celebrating finishing the paperwork than celebrating the actual approval. Approval is just the icing on the cake.
