Tonight we went to see the Harlem Globetrotters play in Salt Lake City. One of James' assistants at work has a husband whose company owns a suite at the arena, so instead of having to sit on hard chairs with all the other fans, we got to relax and enjoy the game in a private suite with three other families we knew. I'm telling you, that is the only way to go to a basketball game! We all know that sitting through any sporting event is not exactly my idea of a grand time, but if I could do it this way every time, I wouldn't mind a bit! We had soft theater-style chairs with a great view of the court, an upper area with soft chairs, tables, a kitchenette, and even our own private bathroom. We were able to order in cookies, popcorn, and soft drinks (and could have had an entire meal if we'd been willing to pay for it).
This was heaven!
The kids had a blast, though Dallin was extremely disappointed that we would not buy him a $25 Globetrotters basketball, neither would we stand in the crowd to get autographs. And Sariah was furious that we did not ride the train back to our car. However, they both were completely mesmerized for the entire game.
