I feel better now!

We got to go up in the canyon today and collect our fall leaves! We took a picnic lunch and went to a nice spot near a playground. The kids had a wondeful time hunting leaves, acorn caps, sticks, and bark. It was heaven! It was quiet, the weather was gorgeous, and it was just nice to get away from it all and be with them. I kept thinking that this is what motherhood is all about.

They're holding hands. So sweet! Dallin was helping RiRi cross the log bridge over the little stream. This was about 2 second before she lost her footing and fell in the creek. Luckily it was only a few inches deep. We were able to take her socks off and she was fine.

They found a Roly Poly.

Dallin proving his prowess by climing up the very steep hill.

Sariah collecting sticks.

Note to self: Make sure you look in the pre-packaged sack lunches at the grocery deli before you buy them. Next time you'll know that they don't come with the sandwich--you have to pick your own sandwich to go with them. At least the kids like chips and treats.
