Since all of the cousins were out of school for the state teachers' convention, we decided to get together at Grandma's house for a party. We had a few mishaps (like me leaving home all the cookies I'd baked for our Monster Face Cookie Decorating Extravaganza, and a few tears over not winning certain games), but overall, we had a grand time!
This is Dallin getting wrapped up by his cousins in the Mummy Wrap game. The first team to use up the entire roll of toilet paper on their "mummy" wins! We thought the teams were really unequal because all the little kids (Dallin's age) chose to be on the same team, and all the big kids ended up on the same team. But apparently those little kids knew what they were doing, because they won! I think the older kids were too analytical or something about the whole project. The little kids simply walked around and around and around and pretty soon, all their toilet paper was gone. The main attraction of the day was decorating Monster Face Cookies. Thank goodness Grandma had a huge stash of sugar cookie mix, and she and cousin E went right to work making more cookies to replace the ones I'd forgotten.
Even Sariah turned out a cookie that could have actually been taken for a moster. Here, cousin L must be giving her some advice or something.
Dallin and cousin B had a great time at their end of the table! Dallin even created Frankenstein.
Grandma inspects everyone's creations.
I love having most of our cousins so close! We never got to do this when we were kids.
