The kids spent the first week riding Preston's trike down the hill at top speed. They practiced keeping their feet up until the very last possible moment and seeing if they could stop before they ended up in the ravine across the road. Luckily this stopped being so fun after awhile, since Mom was wondering just how free-range of a parent it is actually safe to be!
Dallin also got some good practice riding his bike sideways down and across the yard and seeing how sharply he could slide before he came to a stop.
The living room is cozy and warm, a perfect room for Christmas morning.
Dallin's second project was making a ladder up this tree trunk.
We got to have a fire for Dallin's birthday, which he proclaimed his Best Birthday Ever.
It is the perfect gathering place for friends...
Sariah got the favored bedrom in the house, a fact which Dallin is just barely letting me forget, after a month of living here. (He had to take the basement, since I didn't feel comfortable having either of the younger kids down there.)
