We had a wonderful Independence Day! We tried to pack the day chock full of activities so we wouldn't have time to think about all the family gatherings we were missing back in Utah. One of the towns near us hosts a huge July 4th extravaganza every year, and we chose to spend the day there. I was very impressed by what they had to offer. It was small town fun, but fun just the same.
One part of the park was set aside for hula-hooping. There were dozens of hoops of all sizes. What a great idea! Kids don't need anything fancy, just a bunch of hula hoops.
The balloon art was pretty cool, definitely worth waiting in line for.
And Sariah was invited to be part of the little "play" they put on.
The parade lasted two hours and involved plenty of candy.
