Here are a few pics from Sariah's birthday celebration yesterday. We just did simple cake and ice cream at hom with Grandma.
Dallin was very "helpful" with the gift-opening, but Sariah was her own woman and ripped into the presents without much outside assistance.
Dallin and Sariah playing with the wooden cooking set and play food Sariah got. Sariah's reaction upon opening the cookware was "Hey!" So far, this looks like a hit for both children. Hooray for Melissa & Doug! The other favorite gift was the Elmo toilet seat, so now Sariah can go in the "big potty". (That one's gotten plenty of use in the past day!)
I love doing cakes my my kids each year, and this year it was a puppy dog, since Sariah is obsessed with them. I think this was the easiest cake I've done so far, and it turned out way cute!
Sariah had no problems blowoing out the candles. Dallin was really hoping she wouldn't be able to do it and he'd have to come to the rescue, but no such luck.
Sariah was really adorable singing "Happy Birthday". She's pretty good at it too--she's got the rhythm down pat.
